Always the correct parts.
The purpose of cleaning and flow-testing the injectors are to remove contaminants inside or outside of the injector that may restrict fuel flow or degrade the spray pattern. We also accurately measure each injector's flow, so that we can eliminate any conditions that may cause the vehicle to run lean and/or cause a catastrophic failure.
We recommend flowing all new OE injectors, as they should be matched as close as possible for performance purposes. New Aftermarket Injectors, from a reputable dealer, usually have this service performed before shipment by the manufacturer. ID, FIC, etc. It's not uncommon for a set of original equipment injectors to be somewhat out of range when new, we can identify any issues.
How do you test inejectors?
This is a cleaning service per injector. Please adjust quantity for the number of injectors.
Each injector is installed in our computer-controlled injector flow-testing equipment. A non-flammable calibration fluid is pumped at a precisely-controlled pressure through the injectors while they are pulsed by injector-drivers built into the equipment. The volume of fuel passed through the injector is accurately measured for a set amount of time and from those figures, fuel flow is derived. During the flow- test, the injector spray patterns are visually inspected and analyzed.
After the test, your injectors are installed in to a ultra sonic cleaning machine and connected to injector drivers. They are submerged in heated cleaning solution and pulsed while being subjected to ultrasonic waves. The combination of the cleaning solution and the ultrasonic waves aggressively clean the internal and external parts of the injectors.
Once the injectors are cleaned, we flow them again to compare before and after results.
